SISCC was founded by survivors, for survivors. We exist to ensure that people who experienced abuse in Canada’s independent schools are heard, believed, supported, and empowered. Through survivor-led research, advocacy, and collaboration, we work to strengthen government policy, improve institutional accountability, and ensure that the protection and well-being of children remain paramount. Together, we are building a safer and more accountable future for the next generation.

We engage with government, institutions, and the public to push for policy reform, mandatory reporting, and systemic accountability.
Education
We develop resources, workshops, and public awareness campaigns to educate communities about abuse prevention and survivor rights.
Support
We connect survivors with peer networks, professional resources, and community support to aid in healing and recovery.
Accountability
We document cases, publish reports, and hold independent schools accountable for past and present failures to protect students.
